Availability Management Practitioner

At the end of this course the candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of the relationship between business and Availability Management
  • How to propose an overall IT infrastructure design to meet availability requirements
  • The ability to advise on IT equipment and services
  • How to evaluate and calculate availability
  • How maintenance activities can be Managed
  • The skills and knowledge to translate the availability specifications of IT components into quality criteria
  • An understanding of how to improve work processes to manage an IT infrastructure
  • How to produce and deliver reports to general management, Service Level Management, and customers of the IT organisation
  • The ability to propose improvements, based on results of monitoring and/or reviews
  • An understanding of all key activities, measures (KPIs), benefits and critical success factors for each process
  • An understanding of the interfaces and relationships between availability management and each of the other key processes
